Multi-Push-Down Languages and Grammars
نویسندگان
چکیده
A new class of languages, called multi-push-down (mpd), that generalize the classical context-free (cf, or Chomsky type 2) ones is introduced. These languages preserve some important properties of cf languages: a generalization of the Chomsky-Schh utzenberger homomorphic characterization theorem, the Parikh theorem and a \pumping lemma" are proved. Multi-push-down languages are an AFL. Their recognizers are automata equipped with a multi-push-down tape. Multi-push-down languages form a hierarchy based on the number of push-down tapes.

Alternating Regular Tree Grammars in the Framework of Lattice-Valued Logic
In this paper, two different ways of introducing alternation for lattice-valued (referred to as {L}valued) regular tree grammars and {L}valued top-down tree automata are compared. One is the way which defines the alternating regular tree grammar, i.e., alternation is governed by the non-terminals of the grammar and the other is the way which combines state with alternation. The first way is ta...
متن کاملPregroup Grammars and Context-free Grammars
Pregroup grammars were introduced by Lambek [20] as a new formalism of type-logical grammars. They are weakly equivalent to context-free grammars [8]. The proof in one direction uses the fact that context-free languages are closed under homomorphism and inverse homomorphism. Here we present a direct construction of a context-free grammar and a push-down automaton, equivalent to a given pregroup...
متن کاملContext-Free Language Induction by Evolution of Deterministic Push-Down Automata Using Genetic Programming<
The process of learning often consists of Inductive Inference, making generalizations from samples. The problem here is finding generalizations (Grammars) for Formal Languages from finite sets of positive and negative sample sentences. The focus of this paper is on Context-Free Languages (CFL’s) as defined by Context-Free Grammars (CFG’s), some of which are accepted by Deterministic Push-Down A...
متن کاملAn approach to fuzzy context free languages
The paper studies the relationship among fuzzy context free languages and fuzzy push down automata. The degree of membership of the words to the fuzzy language generated by a context free grammar, calculated in a monoid, introduces an additional burden for the accepting push down weighted automaton. Even in the case of languages accepted by fuzzy deterministic push down automata, the relationsh...
متن کاملCh(k) Grammars: A Characterization of LL(k) Languages
From the point of view of parsing the LL(K] grammars constitute a very attractive class of context-free grammars. For each LL{K] grammar a top-down parsing algorithm can be devised which is essentially a one-state deterministic push-down automaton. From a more theoretiG point of view LL[K) grammars are attractive as well. It is well-known, for example, that it is decidable whether two LLfk) gra...
